Announcing our new fiction contest! For our second issue of the magazine, we want vampire stories!
Our first prize for this contest is an autographed copy of the fourth book in Heather Brewer's Vladimir Tod series: Eleventh Grade Burns.
In honor of the prize, we want your best, unique vampire short stories for the magazine. Take vampire myths and put your own spin on them. We want to see new, different ideas and stories about vampires. Don't give us the standard scenario - make it your own! Have fun with all that vampires have to offer, and don't be afraid to take risks.
The contest is open to everyone ages 12-17.
The contest is open to all genres, but please avoid overly adult themes, graphic violence, and graphic sex. Please follow the submission guidelines found here.
The winner and honorable mentions will have the opportunity to work with the editor to get their pieces ready for publication.
If you'd like to enter our contest, email your submissions to submissions@yaliteraturereview.com. Entries should be sent as attachments and your email should include a cover letter, your name, your penname, your age and a brief bio. Be sure to note in the subject line of your email that it is a contest submission.
The contest deadline is March 6th. Winners will be notified by March 31st.
